This was a fun project involving a bit of woodworking and a fair amount of blacksmithing.
I forged two 6″ brackets, both with some simple scroll work. Between the brackets (and holding them together) is a 2″ metal bar with four hand made hooks.
The oak shelf measures 2″ thick X 6″ deep X 34″ long. The oak is reclaimed true dimensional lumber.
